When Marty is not
working, he enjoys some simple activities. He has been a
lifelong photographer; a hobby that began when he was editor of his
college yearbook and one that has served him well throughout his career.
He also spends some evenings
in his shop where he enjoys woodworking, a skill that he has gotten
quite good at over the years. Marty is quite proud of his tool collection.
Two of his prized possessions are
his 1966 Austin Healey, which he has owned for 25 years, and a 38' C&C
Sailboat.
Marty spent ten years restoring his
Austin Healey, doing most of the work himself. He restored it to showroom
condition and today gets to enjoy the fruits of his labor by driving
it on the backroads of Northern California and bordering states.
When the wind is blowing, which is
just about everyday on the San Francisco Bay, Marty can be found sailing
Raven, his 38' C&C. With its black
hull and sleek design, it is one of the fastest and most unique boats
on the Bay. Marty looks forward to the day when he can sail Raven on
the waters of the Chesapeake Bay, where his love for sailing began. |
